Melanin Series.Dark Skin tone

My love for painting dark skin tone is profound. I remember looking for tips and lessons on how to paint brown skin as mine. It took a lot of trail and error which led me to paint this beautiful piece I call Aura. As I began painting, as in most of my paintings, I had no real idea of the results or if I'd pull it off. As a self taught artist, there's a lot of doubt that comes with creating a piece. But what's the fun in not trying. So here I went all in and decided to paint on this bigger piece of stretched linen.
